BookFest Fall 2022 Announces Official Schedule Featuring Beatrice Adenodi, Angela Bole, Virginia Fox, Philip Fracassi, Karla Olson, Katharine Sands, Robert J. Sawyer and More



BookFest returns for a 6th biannual live event October 22-23 featuring an array of authors, literary experts and speakers. Being aware and talking about action is a theme with discussions of book bans and climate change. The Horror Writers Association joins as presenting sponsor and helps bring a spooky, autumnal theme to this online book adventure™.

Los Angeles, CA – BookFest® returns for its 6th biannual virtual event on October 22n/a and 23rd, 2022 with an array of authors, literary experts and speakers in panels, conversations, special segments and live author chats. Brought to you by the Horror Writers Association and Bookinfluencers, The BookFest Fall 2022 has a spooky, autumnal theme. In response to the challenges of our time, being aware and taking action are also themes with discussions of book bans and climate change taking the virtual stage.

The BookFest Award winners will be announced during the presentation during A Salute to The BookFest Award Winners which will air throughout the Livestream and in its entirety at the end of the day on Sunday, October 23.rd. Winners will be posted on the BookFest website and notified by email.

BookFest is streamed online and is an always free two-day event. BookFest Fall 2022 features these speakers, to name a few:

  • Beatrice Adenodistoryteller, sought after business leadership consultant, lecturer, first generation Nigerian American, founder of Mirror Inc. and author of Insane behaviors: crossing invisible barriers
  • Angela Bole, CEO of the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) and new CEO of Firebrand Group
  • Virginia Fox, best-selling European author who publishes the Rocky Mountain Romances book series in the United States
  • Philippe Fracassi, author of novels and short stories, and screenwriter of films that have been distributed by Disney Entertainment and Lifetime Television. The New York Times calls his work “terribly scary”
  • Karla Olsonbook publisher at Patagonia, past president of the IBPA, president of IBPA affiliates Publishers and Writers of San Diego and Publishers and Writers of Orange County, and founder of Read Local, a marketing coalition for authors
  • Sands of Katharine, literary agent representing fiction, non-fiction and memoirs. Agent provocateur from Making the Perfect Pitch: How to Catch a Literary Agent’s Eye, a collection of pitching wisdom from leading literary agents
  • Robert J. Sawyerbest-selling novelist, award-winning screenwriter, one of only eight writers to win all three top science fiction awards: Hugo, the Nebula and John W. Campbell Memorial Award

Delivering the keynote address is Beatrice Adenodi with a lecture entitled The Whispers in Our Stories. The second day, Karla Olsonbook editor at Patagonia, delivers the keynote titled The Magic of Storytelling.

They will also receive the Virtual Gift Bag, which is sent out at the end of each BookFest. The Big Bundle of Books giveaway is also back. It is open for registration until the Saturday evening of each BookFest. Winners are announced at the end of the Live Author Chats.
