Jagdeep Dubey’s book will be published by Dogri Sanstha Jammu on Monday.

JAMMU, August 22: Dogri Sanstha Jammu released eminent writer Dogri Jagdeep Dubey’s collection of three plays titled ‘Vikarn’ today in a simple yet impressive function at Govt College for Women, Parade Ground Jammu.
The book contains three plays namely Suttar, Ladai Kadun Mukkag & Vikarn revolving around different themes. This is his third coin collection after Galoor and Dangar.
Padamshri Jitender Udhampuri was the main guest on the occasion. Prof. Lalit Magotra, President Dogri Sanstha presided over the ceremony while Rajeshwar Singh ‘Raju’ was the guest of honour.
In his speech, Jitender Udhampuri recalled the contributions of writers from Ramnagar where Jagdeep also belongs. He said Jagdeep Dubey had proven himself as a novelist and playwright for Akashwani and Doordarshan. He hailed his new book which will help theater activists stage new plays.
Professor Lalit Magotra, while complementing Dubey for the book, said that dogri pieces are highly sought after and this book has surely enriched that part of dogri literature. He hopes that now theater directors will get more plays to exhibit their creative input by staging those plays which are appreciable for their content and plots.
As guest of honour, Rajeshwar Singh ‘Raju’ said Dubey was a household name in literary circles both as a playwright and short story writer. “With each addition to his kitten, he also added to the treasury of dogri literature,” Raju said and complemented Dubey for his continued contributions which also inspire others to follow in his footsteps.
On this occasion, the eminent theatrical activist Raj Kumar Bahurupia presented a detailed article on the book which was appreciated for its literary and critical aspects by a galaxy of people from literature, theater and other walks of life who honored the ‘opportunity. The program was led by eminent poet and broadcaster Promila Manhas who also presented a vote of thanks.
