Marvel has a ton of video games in the works, and luckily we have a pretty comprehensive list to break them down. Marvel has a rich assortment of amazing characters and has worked tirelessly to adapt them outside of the panels of a comic book. Over the past 20+ years, Marvel has fleshed out some of its best characters on the big screen. The likes of Spider-Man, Blade, X-Men, Hulk, Iron Man and more went on to be smash hits with critics and rake in tons of box office cash. However, Marvel is starting to take another medium a little more seriously than before.
Marvel has been licensing its characters for video games for years. It gave us classics like Spiderman 2, The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destructionand X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but Marvel never really had its own series of games that could compete with the Batman: Arkham series. After Rocksteady showed what was possible for these characters, Marvel started to really invest in video games for its characters by giving Spider-Man to Insomniac Games, which led to arguably one of the best super games ever. -heroes of all time and to one of PlayStation’s greatest franchises. The success has since continued with games like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and there don’t seem to be any plans to slow down as there are plenty of Marvel games currently in the works at a number of the top studios in the industry.
As such, we’ve compiled a list of all Marvel games currently confirmed to be in development or believed to be in development. Of course, the supposed titles should be taken with a grain of salt. Since they haven’t been officially announced, they could be canceled or the rumor could just be downright incorrect. Either way, they come from relatively reputable sources, so they were worth including in the list.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns – December 2, 2022
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a new turn-based tactical RPG and will allow players to manage a team of iconic Marvel superheroes alongside a new custom character called “The Hunter”. Fans of the XCOM franchise will probably want to check out this game as it comes from the developers of that series and is heavily inspired by those games. While not to everyone’s taste, it’s an interesting way to spice up Marvel’s offerings.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns releases on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, and PC on December 2, 2022. An Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch release is also planned, but it doesn’t have a release date.
Marvel’s Spider-Man – 2023
We start the list with the one that excites people the most: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. This is the third Spidey game developed by Insomniac Games, including the spin-off starring Miles Morales, and will see Peter Parker team up with Morales to stop new threats. There aren’t a ton of details about this game yet, but it will feature Kraven and Venom as two of the game’s antagonists. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be released on PlayStation 5 in 2023.
Marvel’s Wolverine – Release Date TBD
Marvel’s Wolverines is another title from Insomniac Games and is the team’s first Marvel game not directly related to Spider-Man. There are even fewer details than Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, but it looks like Insomniac is aiming to make a game that’s mature and maybe leans into the violence that Wolverine is known for. To date, there has only been one M-rated Wolverine game and one R-rated Wolverine movie, so hopefully, Marvel’s Wolverines can look at the maturity of these projects. There is no release date for the game at this time, but it will be exclusive to PlayStation 5.
Skydance’s Untitled Captain America/Black Panther Game – Release Date TBD
Skydance New Media recently announced a new game centered around Captain America and Black Panther during World War II. The two will battle Hydra in a cinematic story across the world and will be joined by Gabriel Jones, a member of the Howling Commandos, and Nanali, the leader of the newly formed Wakandan spy ring. The game is helmed by former Uncharted director and screenwriter Amy Hennig, which means fans can expect a pretty epic and cinematic game.
It’s likely that this game is still years away from release, as there isn’t even a title for the project yet, but fans can still get excited knowing that a new Black Panther game is on its way.
Black Panther game – rumor
The aforementioned Skydance New Media might not be the only Black Panther game on the way. Industry insider Jeff Grubb reported over the summer that EA was working on a new Black Panther game. The game would be an open-world single-player RPG that would be similar to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever because the game will start with the death of Black Panther and the player will have to take the place of the powerful hero of Wakanda. It’s supposed to be pretty early in development, so it’ll probably be a while before we see that, assuming the rumors are accurate.
Iron Man game – rumor
EA is also rumored to be working on another Marvel game, and apparently it’s focused on Iron Man. The game is apparently EA Motive’s next project after the dead space remake and reports suggest we won’t have to wait too long to see it either, but playing it is another story. As to when we’ll see it remains a mystery, but it should arrive before EA’s Black Panther game if the rumors come to fruition.
