Warner Bros. and DC Comics tried to decide how to move forward with the DC Extended Universe, and they outsourced producers like JJ Abrams. Abrams has developed several DC Comics projects from the Justice League Dark line of characters and even a Black Superman project written by Tahensi Coates. Since the Warner Bros. merger. Discovery of the latter is in tune with the times because the studio wants to focus on the version of the character of Henry Cavill. They also decided to change their minds about creating a new Constantine and announced a sequel to the 2005 film starring Keanu Reeves. An artist has created new fan art that shows the actor returning to the character.
An artist on Instagram who goes by the handle of @Spdrmnkyxxiii, has created a new design that imagines what the actor might look like when he returns as Constantine. The art shows Reeves as the character so many years later, and he looks pretty good for his age. You can check out the fan art below!
The next DC Comics movie to hit theaters will be Black Adam, directed by Dwayne Johnson. Johnson recently revealed he had the chance to speak with ComicBook.com while promoting his movie, where he revealed he thinks Henry Cavill is our generation’s Superman.
“I will say this. I will say Henry is a buddy and he is a phenomenal Superman,” the actor said. “He’s a phenomenal Superman and Henry Cavill is the Superman of our generation compared to other Supermans of the past. Every time I see him, we’re drinking tequila and I’m like, ‘That guy is Superman.’ My longtime business partner, Dany Garcia, has been a passionate advocate for Henry Cavill and his career for a long, long, long time.”
Black Adam will play Johnson and will also star Aldis Hodge (Underground, The Invisible Man) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I Love Before, Charlie’s Angels) as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell (Trinkets, Euphoria) as Cyclone, Sarah Shahi (The L Word, Sex/Life) as Adrianna Tomaz and Pierce Brosnan (GoldenEye, Mamma Mia!) as Doctor Fate. Uli Latukefu, Marwan Kenzari, Mohammed Amer, James Cusati-Moyer and Bodhi Sabongui were also chosen.
