MARTINSVILLE – The Jackson Memorial Library’s summer literary series returns to Oceanview Grange, 435 Port Clyde Road, the first three Tuesdays in July at 5:30 p.m. After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the literary series opens Tuesday, July 5, with award-winning novelist and poet Sarah Blake.
Blake has given fiction workshops at the University of Maryland and George Washington University. She is the author of numerous novels, including the New York Times bestsellers, “Grange House”, “The Postmistress”, “The Guest Book” and “Clean Air”.
“Grange House” and “The Guest Book” both dive deep into Blake’s insightful and personal experiences in Maine. Her latest work is a step in a new direction, as she dives into the arena of sci-fi thrillers. “Clean Air” takes the reader into the possibilities that may exist in the near future.
The event is free and open to the public. Masks are optional, but COVID-19 precautions are advised. The literary presentation will begin with a reception and light snacks. For more information, call 207-372-8961 or visit JacksonMemorialLibrary.org.
