Mary J. Blige is releasing her first children’s book, “Mary Can!”



Mary J. Blige takes his talents into the literary world, announcing the release of his very first children’s book, Mary Can!

Taking to Instagram earlier this week to share the “BIG NEWS”, the Queen of Hip Hop Soul previewed the book cover and revealed that the story illustrated by Ashleigh Corrin is set to be released on March 28, 2023.

“I’m so excited to share BIG NEWS with you!!! I’ve written a children’s book and it’s available for pre-order TODAY!” Mary J. Blige wrote.

Giving fans a preview of what they can expect from the book, she added: “Mary Can! is the inspiring and motivational story of a young girl who proves that anyone can achieve their dreams if they just believe in themselves.

“It’s such a personal story for me, based on my own experiences as a child and even as an adult. I was so used to people telling me “no” and that I “couldn’t”, which only motivated me more. My hope with this book is that it instills in children from an early age that they can do anything they aspire to do. There are no limits to what they can accomplish!
