Naomi Osaka, former world champion and four-time Grand Slam winner, is releasing her first children’s book. She joins the ranks of other greats like Serena Williams and Steph Curry who also published picture books for children.
“So excited to finally announce the release of my first children’s book, The Way Champs Play. This is the first publishing project under my production company @hanakuma“, she wrote on Instagram on Tuesday. “I hope this book inspires kids to pursue their dreams and encourages them to believe that they can do anything they can think of.
“This book holds a very special place in my heart as part of the proceeds will go to my foundation @playacademynaomi who works to support young girls in sport,” the 24-year-old added.
The way champions play, released by his own production company Hana Kuma, officially releases on December 6. fans can Pre-order and submit a receipt for a signed bookplate. Part of the profits goes to him Play Academy Foundationwhich aims to “level the playing field by changing the game for girls through play and sport”.
