Sandman bonus episode includes cameos by Audible Cast

But there was another surprise in the surprise – part of the voice cast of “A Dream of a Thousand Cats” also includes actors from Audible’s The Sandman.

On Twitter, creator Neil Gaiman shared an image depicting the voice cast of “A Dream of a Thousand Cats” which included Netflix adaptation star Tom Sturridge, but also James McAvoy, David Tennant and Michael Sheen. You can check out Gaiman’s tweet below.

Gaiman also revealed that while the bonus episode was a surprise to viewers, it was something that was planned early on, and producer David S. Goyer was the one who originally suggested it.

“It was David Goyer’s suggestion. But we immediately adopted it,” Gaiman said.
