The library will host a children’s program on the theme of Mizzou

Author Aaron Fox will share his children’s book about Mizzou’s adorable mascot, Truman the Tiger, from 4-5 p.m. Monday at the Callaway County Public Library in Fulton.

“How Truman Found His Roar” follows a young Truman on his journey through Tiger Country in search of his roar and how he became the mascot he is today. Along the way, it passes familiar Mizzou and Columbia landmarks.

The event, which is co-sponsored by the library and the Callaway County Chapter of the Mizzou Alumni Association, was originally scheduled for 2020 but was postponed due to COVID.

Fox has written several children’s books, including “The Secret Life of Sloan the Sloth”, / “The Legend of the Mask” and “How Can I Help – A Kids’ Guide to Giving Back.”

The author will read his book and young people will receive souvenirs of Mizzou and will have the opportunity to create crafts and coloring pages. Vice President Kate Geppert and Scholarship Chair Susan Krumm will be on hand to help the children.
